James has served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps since 2008. Throughout the years of military life, deployments, constant change, and raising a blended family, one thing remained consistent, the importance of perseverance, loyalty, and staying grounded in the values that matter most.

Gwen, the creative force behind the brand, spent years building her own path as an entrepreneur in the beauty industry while balancing family life, creativity, and business. Her drive, passion, and determination helped turn The American Tread from a simple idea into a growing patriotic lifestyle brand.
